Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, "Pizza a la USA", Sandwiches, and Wraps are given particular attention as American food.

I find it interesting that Deutsch lines are considered disorderly, aber this seems to be consistent with their emphasis on punctuality and directness. It seems to be that Deutschlands people expect things to be done the right way, quickly; any lingering or loitering will result in being pushed aside for those with things to do. This is often the case in big American cities, such as New York, where lines can also turn into competitions.
