AMD 1 Jake Prosyniuk

Ich habe für mein erstes AMD der Deutsch Film "Die Friseuse" angesehen. "Die Friseuse" ist zu einer fettleibige Friseuse, heißt Kathi. Sie hat viele Probleme, weil ihr Gewicht. Sie ist geschieden, weil ihr Gewicht. Sie ist sehr talentiert, aber kann Arbeit nicht finden, weil ihr Gewicht.  Sie will ein Salon eröffnen, aber kann ein Darlehen nicht bekommen. Sie schneidet die Haare alte Menschen mit einer andere Frau, Geld zu bekommen. Her partner gets in trouble for illicit earnings, so she resorts to taking money her daughter got from her father to start up the shop, only for her partner to refuse to work.

 To repay her daughter she finds a man who offers to pay her for smuggling illegal Vietnamese immigrants into the country from Poland. One of the cars they use to make the smuggling run dies, and she is abandoned to wait to be picked up by Joe, the guy in charge of the operation. She brings the immigrants back to her house, expecting Joe to move them promptly. She goes to her ex-husband's house to get her daughter, who has disappeared, and brings her back to her apartment to find all of the immigrants still there. She agrees to let them spend the night, and ends up being followed around by an undercover cop. She manages to not get caught, and develops a love interest for one of the immigrants, Tien. 

With the immigrant situation resolved, she is able to to put together her shop with the help of Tien. Inspectors come and keep her from opening the shop because the floor doesn't pass anti-slip regulations. She ends up having health issues because of her stress and has a stay in the hospital. Kathi reveals to her daughter that her mother was an alcoholic, something that has obviously haunted her for most of her life. She ends up getting a job at a Vietnamese salon, and I think the ending implies that she earns the money to finally open her own shop.

Die Friseuse ist ein great story about a woman's struggle to keep her life together in spite of a great many obstacles, many of which are beyond her control. Kathi is an inspiring character and her story has universal relevance, albeit with a lot of local references.
